
Paul Lessard
Vice President, Business Development
Paul Lessard joined Covenant Trust in January 2025 as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, he leads the Financial Advisors in delivering exceptional client service and developing strategic opportunities for new and existing clients to build wealth.
Paul brings a distinguished career in executive leadership, most recently serving as Vice President of Mission Priorities for the Evangelical Covenant Church. Previously, he was the Executive Minister leading initiatives in church planting and congregational health. His experience also includes serving as President and Executive Director of a Christian college, Director of Retention at Colorado Christian University, and Lead Pastor at Castle Oaks Covenant Church in Colorado. Additionally, Paul is the founder and owner of Lessard Consulting, a firm dedicated to guiding leaders, organizations, and teams through critical transitions and challenges in organizational life.
Paul holds a Master’s in Executive Leadership from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies (Theatre & Philosophy) from Colorado State University. He began his professional journey as a musician before transitioning into leadership and administration. He is also a Commissioned Staff Minister with the Covenant, one of the denomination’s three permanent credentials.
Paul has participated on multiple nonprofit boards and homeowner associations, including as board chair of Wellspring Communities, an organization that provides work and enrichment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is a regular volunteer at homeless shelters and programs for at-risk youth and was instrumental in founding the Habitat for Humanity chapter in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Paul is a published author, and several short plays have appeared in collections. His music compositions have been published and recorded, and he was a writer and performer for the award-winning children’s series Quigley’s Village.
An accomplished bassist, Paul continues to play on occasion. His favorite pastimes include hiking, ski touring, and fly fishing. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in Colorado and cherish time with their daughter, son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren.
