Sophie Hernandez

Sophie Hernandez joined Covenant Trust in December of 2024. She is an integral member of the Covenant Trust team as she supports the corporate accounting department. Some of her responsibilities include processing payroll, accounts payable and receivable items, completing monthly bank reconciliations, assisting with 1099 filings, supporting financial statement audits, and maintaining financial records in accordance with accounting standards. Prior to being promoted into this role, Sophie worked as a trust administration assistant and then a financial reporting specialist where she assisted five trust administrators, did reporting for charitable accounts, and earned her trust administration certificate.

Sophie graduated in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She brings valuable experience and knowledge from internships at some of the largest public accounting firms in the United States.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys exploring Chicago with her significant other, Charles, and spending time with their cat, Waldo. Sophie is always looking for a new hobby or activity to try. Her current endeavor is learning French but some of her other favorite hobbies include baking, hiking, kayaking, and reading books.
